OCD is a Bully

Think of OCD as a big bully. The more you try and run away from it or ignore it, the bigger it gets.

But with the right treatment, you can reach a point where you take your power from it back 💙

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is a form of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and it’s one of the most effective treatment methods for OCD. ERP involves gradually exposing yourself to the thoughts, images, places, objects, and situations that trigger your obsessions and compulsions, so that, eventually, you become desensitised to them. The bully will slowly lose its power, and your anxiety will lessen.

ERP should be done in a safe and controlled environment so that you can go through the recovery process in the most manageable way.
