Counselling for Anxiety Disorders
Anxiety Disorders
A certain amount of anxiety is adaptive and normal for our well-being because it allows us to assess a situation and respond appropriately. However, anxiety that is ongoing and consistent can be a problem.
Do you often find yourself feeling tense, restless, and on edge? Do you avoid going to certain places and seeing certain people because you know they will trigger anxiety?
Do you experience increased heart rate, rapid breathing, sweating or trembling when you’re stressed? Do you frequently have trouble concentrating? Do you overthink and worry excessively?
These may be some of the signs that you struggle with an anxiety disorder.
Anxiety can range from mild to severe. There are different types of anxieties; such as Social Anxiety, Agoraphobia, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and Panic Disorder.
Anxiety is a common problem, and it can be incredibly isolating. You may feel like you're the only one who's struggling, but that's not true. Many of us live with anxiety but don't get the help we need, because we may be uncomfortable opening up to a therapist.
Therapy can give you the tools to help manage your worries and provide you with guidance on how to make lifestyle changes that can help reduce anxiety.
You can meet me in person in Bangkok, Thailand, or schedule an online appointment for my therapy services at Three Point Counselling.
